NEET UG

NEET UG is a national-level entrance exam in India conducted for admission into undergraduate medical courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, and other allied health programs. It is the single qualifying exam for medical admissions in India. The exam is conducted once a year in offline mode (pen and paper) and includes Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from the Class 11 and 12 syllabus. Students who qualify NEET UG become eligible for admission to government and private medical colleges across India based on their rank and cutoff.

NEET UG is India's single largest undergraduate medical entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, BVSc & AH, B.Sc. Nursing (in participating institutions), and other allied medical courses across the country. NEET serves as the common entrance examination for government, private, deemed, central universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, and various medical institutions accepting NEET scores.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent examination.
  • Must have studied:

  • English as a core subject.
  • Minimum age should be 17 years on or before 31 December 2026.
  • Indian Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and Foreign Nationals are eligible as per NTA regulations.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2026 are also eligible to apply.
  • There is currently no upper age limit for NEET UG as per prevailing regulations.
